Mill Creek
Somewhere in the middle of the Boston Mountain Ranger District of the Ozark National Forest near Elkins, Arkansas, Mill Creek OHV Trail is one of the state’s most rugged and scenic off-road destinations. The trail system stretches across about 42 miles, weaving through three interconnected loops that cater to riders seeking both adventure and challenge. The terrain is diverse, ranging from hard-packed soil and rocky climbs to water crossings, steep inclines, and lush hardwood forest. Along the way, riders are treated to striking rock outcrops, clear mountain streams, and even the occasional waterfall, making the ride as scenic as it is thrilling.
The trail difficulty varies from moderate to expert, with certain sections, such as the popular Blue Loop, offering more than 27 miles of demanding terrain when combined with adjoining paths. Mill Creek is open year-round to ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and side-by-sides, though all vehicles must be registered, equipped with spark arrestors, and kept within a strict noise limit.
A small daily riding fee of $3 per vehicle is collected at the self-pay kiosk at the gravel staging area, which also provides a loading ramp and vault toilet for convenience.
While overnight parking at the staging area is not permitted, dispersed camping is allowed nearby along Mill Creek Road, and the Redding Recreation Area offers developed campsites with restrooms, showers, and potable water.
Riders should also note that helmets are required, alcohol and fireworks are prohibited, and trail tags must be visibly displayed on vehicles.
With its challenging trails, breathtaking Ozark scenery, and year-round accessibility, Mill Creek OHV Trail is a premier spot for off-road enthusiasts who want to test their skills while immersing themselves in Arkansas’s natural beauty.

3B Off-Road in Eureka Springs
Situated just a short drive from downtown Eureka Springs, 3B Off‑Road Park spans approximately 150 acres of rugged Ozark terrain, offering more than 50 miles of adrenaline-fueled trails rated from intermediate to extreme. Whether you're new to off-roading or a seasoned wheel-slayer, this park offers an expansive playground of natural challenges, including caves, bluffs, and scenic wildlife as you navigate the forested trails.
We had our first ever Off-Roading "Oh Sh*t" moment at this park, in our BRAND NEW (to us) Jeep, we made it to the bottom after a crazy storm that had washed out most of the trails, and had no idea how we were getting back up to the top. We made it but there were a lot of cuss words screamed in the process, and our brakes were never quite the same!
This park also doubles as an entertainment hub, thanks to its On The Rocks Amp & Bar, an on-site amphitheater perfect for live music and winding down after a full day of trail riding.
With its vast and challenging trail system, comfortable and private camping options, modern vehicle rentals, and immersive event venue, it's designed to deliver excitement, relaxation, and memorable moments for everyone!
