What does "OTG" mean?

Jennifer above and Bob above stand by OTG's former aircraft "Charlie" named for the letter designator in formal Airspeak!  Together they logged many happy hours on company business.  Both Bob and jennifer, flying by commercial airlines, have traveled to East Africa many times with clients.

Future safaris are not scheduled at this time due to price excesses, and general conditions in Kenya at this time.  Stay tuned, we may go again, and meanwhile there are many good companies.  Look at http://www.kenya.com for suggestions and tell them we sent you.

OTG stands for "Off The Grid" which is  where we live, work, play AND travel.  We live in a SOLAR POWERED home   8600' high in the Rocky Mountains in Westcliffe, Colorado.  Our nearest neighbor is 1/2 mile away, and our mailbox is 1 mile away.

This winter panorama is from our solar panels looking at our house.  We live Off The Grid!

Click for larger view on a sunny day, the skies of Colorado are usually "severe clear" in flying terms.   Here Bob cleans the Solar Panels, an annual ritual

VERY Large Panorama of what we see out our front windows in the mountains.  Click photo above.  This is a spring picture taken from "Bill's Hill" our neighbor who owns his own little mountain, fun to climb.

Company Profile

We are seasoned travelers who love to be on the go.  Both of us are medical professionals with over 58 years of experience in Emergency Room and routine medical care.   We have spent 3-5 months a year for the past 8 years providing medical care in remote corners of Alaska, or doing part time fill in work across the U.S.A. in places with a temporary need for staffing and the remainder of the year traveling, planning and researching tours & Safaris, and promoting our thoughts on travel.   Recently we worked in South Carolina, which was a delightful change of weather.   Lovely place, and southern hospitality is all you would expect it to be.

Let's face it, Travel is one of our passions.  Africa is in our blood.

Bob was in the U.S. Peace Corps in 1969 Kenya Agriculture program #1, where he lived with and learned from the natives of Kenya.  (He was once fluent in Kiswahili, and can still get the natives to laugh as he attempts their beautiful language.)     Jennifer is learning Kiswahili by using Rosetta Stone, which is a wonderful language program.
